A Little bit of history

Opened as The Crock Of Gold on the 1st of August 1967, Flanagan’s Entertainment Centre, as it is now known is the longest family run arcade, amusement and casino in the North Wexford area. The building that stands in Courtown today was redeveloped in 1999. The Crock O Gold was demolished paving the way forward to a large expansion and business development opportunities. In 2000, with the re-launch of Flanagan’s Entertainment centre and the retirement of Tom Snr , his sons Tom and Nigel took over the day to day running of the business and continue to keep Tom’s Snr core values intact.

Over the years, Flanagan’s Wharf, Courtown became established as a popular entertainment centre leading Tom Flanagan Snr to search for other business opportunities in the area. He sought an opportunity in Wexford Town. Flanagans Casino – Wexford was opened in 1985 mirroring Courtown casino’s business model.
